Meet the Co-Founders

Dr. Sharaine James,

DNP, CNS, APRN-FPA, FNP-BC, is a doctoral-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in nursing. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2022 from the University of St. Francis and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner training at Governors State University in 2016.

Dr. James has a diverse and well-rounded clinical background, with experience spanning emergency care, post-acute and long-term care, private duty nursing, primary care, infectious disease, and nursing education. She is deeply committed to mentorship and professional development, serving as both a mentor and preceptor to novice and experienced nurses and nursing students. Her practice is rooted in compassionate, patient-centered care, with a strong commitment to improving health outcomes across the lifespan.

Passionate about community outreach, Dr. James actively volunteers throughout surrounding communities by supporting local food pantries, organizing coat drives, and assisting individuals experiencing homelessness. She is dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities and expanding access to high-quality care for underserved populations.

In addition to her clinical and community work, Dr. James serves as Secretary of the South Suburban Nurses of Advanced Practice and is a board member of the Society of Mannequins. She finds purpose in giving back and remains deeply passionate about making a meaningful impact through advocacy, service, and equitable healthcare.

Our Story

The purpose of this Comprehensive Health Care practice is to improve the health and quality of life of the communities we serve by providing accessible, compassionate, and proactive healthcare services. The practice delivers comprehensive, nurse practitioner led care through direct primary care services, laboratory testing, virtual and in-person visits, health education, and weight management programs. This practice is established to identify gaps in healthcare delivery and respond with innovative, solutions that empower individuals and families to make informed health decisions.

Through a patient-centered approach, intentional care coordination, and measurable outcomes, the practice seeks to prevent disease, manage acute and chronic conditions, and enhance the overall healthcare experience—one patient, one family, and one community at a time.

Kasey Statum, MD

Kasey Statum grew up in Sacramento in a family that valued service, community, and the quiet power of showing up for others. Drawn to understanding people and the human experience, she attended the University of California, Davis, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences while also exploring psychology, sociology, and organizational behavior.

After working for several years, she moved to Washington, D.C., in 1994 to attend medical school at Howard University and later completed her residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. Over the years, Dr. Statum devoted her career to serving patients in Federally Qualified Health Centers, caring for the uninsured, underinsured, and those often overlooked. Her commitment to service also extends through her lifelong involvement in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

In 2012, she moved to Florida to be closer to her parents and began reimagining patient care with a more compassionate, accessible approach. Today, her practice focuses on medical cannabis, foundational biomarkers, and sustainable lifestyle changes, partnering with patients to help them build healthier lives step by step.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Statum enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, and appreciating life’s quiet moments. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to compassion, service, and helping others live healthier, fuller lives.
